Ashmead Announcement

Ashmead Big News!
Since The Carp Society purchased Ashmead some three years ago now, we have continued with the original booking system and pricing structure. Although productive we have encountered some issues; After discussions in the boardroom and considering feedback from Carp Society members, we are excited to announce a change for Ashmead starting in November. Ashmead will now operate as a permit/syndicate style fishery, with the winter syndicate which will run from November to March; and the Spring to Autumn Syndicate will run from March to November as either a weekend or weekday ticket.
We understand that this news may elicit mixed responses, but we hope that once the initial reaction settles, most people will welcome this change. Our goal is to make Ashmead more accessible and affordable to a larger number of our members while preserving its majestic nature. By making these adjustments, we aim to build a stronger future for Ashmead and its members.
Application forms will soon be available for existing Carp Society members. Due to the expected high interest, priority may be given to long-term members, current winter syndicate members, and permit holders from our other waters who have successful referrals/references.
As this year’s winter syndicate will begin on November 4th, applications for this will be processed first. After that, applications for spring tickets will be addressed. Once all syndicate places are filled, we will open a waitlist, similarly as we have for Farriers Lake, which will be announced in early 2025.
