A BRIAN MILLS TRIBUTE BOOK
The Carp Society is proud to announce that they have agreed to fund the publication of a tribute book to celebrate the life and work of talented Carp angler, artist and former member Brian Mills which Derek Stritton has undertaken to compile and edit on our behalf. All profits from the book will go to Brian’s widow Gloria.
The book will include photos of many of Brian’s carvings, some from his own album and others from those who have collected them, drawings and extracts from his writing. There will also be chapters from a number of his friends, all of whom have their own stories to tell of him. If there is anyone out there reading this who have their own carvings, or who know someone who does, that they are prepared to have featured in the book please contact Derek Stritton via PM on his Facebook account or via the Carp Society office who will put you in touch with him. Any material you provide could be anonymous or contain as much detail as you wish to be included.
The book will be a limited edition print run, numbered, complete with a signature card signed by all contributors. A number of Brian’s well known angling friends have already committed to contribute chapters, all of which tell their own personal stories and memories of him. Further details to follow, but for now please feel able to share this post so that those who wish to contribute photographic material have the opportunity to do so, in what promises to become ‘Not your average Angling Book.’
