This page will provide updates on the current status of Horseshoe Lake (flooding, freezing, fishable, etc.).

05/01/2026: With the recent drop in temperature, it’s no surprise that areas of the lake are frozen, and this is likely to continue as the cold weather persists.
09/01/2026: Most of Summer Bay is still frozen, but the rest of the lake is clear.
12/01/2026: All areas clear
22/12/2025: Water Levels
Water levels have risen, and while the lake remains open, some swims may not be fishable. Please use common sense when picking a spot. If you cant see the end of the swim tread carefully … we don't want you taking an accidental dip! 😄🎣
