HORSESHOE LAKE OPEN DAY POSTPONED

Dear Member,

It is with some regret that we have decided to postpone this year's Horseshoe open day planned for the first weekend in August. We hope this decision will be understood by members, given the current, government restriction on group gatherings because of Covid19. Additionally a number of angling personalities we had asked to attend the event are among those currently designated by the government to be in the ' high risk category' and it would be unfair of us to try and involve them in any event at the present time.

We have two books which we had planned to launch on the August weekend, but which we will now release in the near future. 'Redmire Remembered' probably the definitive work on Redmire Pool including the Redmire Log and previously unpublished photos and material about the historic pool and 'The Road to Orchid Lakes' by Marsh Pratley and friends. We will take time to consider how to do this to help purchasers collect signatures etc. And will publish further information on our Face Book and web site pages in due course.

We are considering a book signing event when 'large gatherings ' events are reviewed, and will notify you accordingly.

We are also working with 'Anglers Charity Auctions ' to plan a major event for August 2021 to raise funds for the NHS and Key Workers, as well as planning a major Carp Party to celebrate '40 Years of the Carp Society!' More information to follow.
