Carp Society Museum, Chris Ball collection

The Carp Society Museum and the Chris Ball Collection.

In recent weeks the Society has been working with Lloyd Rogers to produce a film about our former President, the ‘much loved’ Chris Ball. Additionally many of the items donated by Chris and his family from the renowned ‘Carp Room’ have been added to the Society museum at Horseshoe and are now on display there.

News of our acquisition of the famed ‘Leney Ledgers,’ (we are indebted to Tim Paisley and Chris Yates in making this happen) has already begun to create interest and requests for viewing etc. We have decided that for the immediate future we will decline such requests while we set up a system and process for enabling this to happen. Please wait for an announcement about this before contacting the Society office.

For now here are a few photos of the re-organised Museum displays to give you an idea of what to expect when you visit our ‘Festival of Carp’ on June 29th at Horseshoe Lake, when the film will also be launched.
