A tribute to Chris Ball

Following on from the success of our “Festival of Carp” 2023 we are already well advanced with the planning for the 2024 Festival.

We’d love to see you at our stunning Horseshoe Lake to help us celebrate all things “Carpy” so here’s a date for you diary.

Saturday 29th June 2024 The Carp Society’s “Festival Of Carp”

As part of the day, we will be dedicating the afternoon in the Marquee to …

“A Tribute to Chris Ball”

This will feature a specially commissioned film featuring memorable moments from Chris’s Angling life. From the material we already have we are looking forward to seeing this project come together, but we are well aware that Chris had many friends in the angling world so there might be unseen footage and stories that we know nothing about that might be ideal for inclusion in this film. (This film will be premiered at the Festival of Carp and later made more widely available on various social media platforms)

If you were a friend of Chris and have any pictures, videos, stories featuring Chris that you think would be ideal for inclusion, we’d love to hear from you.

We have already discussed our proposal with Chris’s family who are entirely supportive of this project.

You can contact any of the following to discuss contributing to the film, Sabrina Widdows, Derek Stritton, Brian Skoyles or Julian Cundiff.

Ideally we will need any items by the end of January at the latest. (If it is a particularly interesting story involving Chris there is the possibility that we can arrange for you to tell the story to Camera etc.)

Many thanks, The Carp Society.
