Some folk just don’t get it!

We are constantly reviewing what will make our members’ visits to the Lake a more enjoyable experience.  Contrary to what some folk seem to think, we do not dream up rules to make life difficult, but to do what we can to ensure security of your property and ours.

In this respect, Horseshoe has something in common with all the other major Carp Fisheries. Talk to Marsh at Orchid, Roy and Chris at Linear, and Gerry at Whelford and, apart from fishing, it’s the single other factor of importance we all consider.

Why mention it?

We have a system here at Horseshoe where 24 hour tickets can be purchased between 9am and 5pm weekdays. Arrival at the lake to start fishing must be between these hours.

Miles at the Gate
It's not rocket science!

The Gates are locked outside of office hours; that is at 5pm overnight until 9am next day, Monday to Friday and all weekend.  THERE IS NO ADMITTANCE once the gates are locked.

Exceptions are that Anglers wishing to arrive during the day Saturday or Sunday can pre-purchase tickets, (by Friday lunch time).  There is a weekend bailiff and during specific arrival times, we will be prepared to allow admittance by prior arrangement.  THERE IS NO ADMITTANCE AFTER 5PM Fridays or any other evening.

Easy so far. However we seem to not be getting the message to you all so please be clear, and do not expect us to allow access outside of these hours.

We appreciate that many of you work a typical working week and that getting here on a Friday night before we close is a challenge.

If you require complete freedom of movement you may purchase a long term Permit.
We currently have on offer:

Summer Permits 5 April to 31 October 2010 at £300
Winter Permits 1 November to 31 March 2010 at £200
Annual Permits 16 June 2010 to 15 June 2011 at £400

These Permits all allow you to have your own entry code.

Thank you for working with us for your continued enjoyment and security of this lovely Water.
