BAILIFF WORK PARTY

We'll be doing some routine maintenance work around the lake the weekend of 4/5 July.

It should not inconvenience anglers, but a few swims will be closed in the course of the work. It's necessary action to maintain the lake in tip-top condition for you.

Apologies for any disturbance.

HORSESHOE FISHING UPDATE - 23 June

Fish have spawned for the second time and we believe the last. Fish are being caught again from Summer Bay and have been seen all over the lake, so expect them to get their heads down any day now.

CARP CARE KIT

Protection of our fish is paramount. At Horseshoe we provide a Carp Care Kit for your use while here at the lake. Kit comprises of

  • Landing net
  • Weigh sling
  • Unhooking mat

Collect from the Net Shed after purchasing your ticket and return to the shed when you are ready to leave.
 
OPENING HOURS

Horseshoe Lake is open all year, except for several short periods to allow events to take place. To avoid disappointment please check Events before your visit.

BANK HOLIDAY
Please pre-purchase your tickets by phone by Friday 5pm, or you can buy them in the shop on Saturday morning. (The lake is open over the weekend, but the office is closed from noon on Saturday).

We like to meet all our members on their first visit so it is essential that you arrive during office hours. Subsequently, if you need to arrive on Saturday afternoon or a Sunday we can arrange for you to collect your ticket from the Bailiff.
