NEW LAKE RECORD
at Horseshoe!
It was quite a weekend, the May Bank Holiday. Jason Clapp (left) broke the lake record with this magnificent 45lb 4oz carp.
Believe it or not, Jason had his fish from the Blue Post (day) swim in front of the Lodge in Winter Bay.

Luke Ochman (above) had five fish from peg 74 between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. He was fishing a crafted baited spot with plastic corn, and Pallatrax Crave boilies. Right is his biggest at 34lb 10oz.
And fishing with Luke on Peg 74, using plastic corn on the same baited area. Lee Pollard (below) caught this lovely 25lb 8oz

Charlie Holifield (below) had a 'right result' catching his first 30 and PB. After moving to his third swim, on the bank holiday Monday, on just a day session. Charlie found a group of feeding fish, had four other fish to 29.5 all within twenty yards of the margins.
Caught on premier matrix boillie, successful tackle was Greys 3.5 X-Flite, emblem Z reel, to a homemade 2oz lead, attached to korda hybrid soft hook length wide gap B size 10 hook.
Jack Forster (above) used fake corn for all his fish, except the 21.5lber which took a surface-fished pink popup. Jack's scales only go to 30lb, so he doesn't have an accurate weight for the first fish, estimated at 32lb.
Jack's catch: 30lb mirror, 8lb tench, 21.5lb mirror, 27lb mirror, 13.5lb mirror and a further 6 tench at 4-6lb.
