As this is the first year of running the lake on an annual basis, Malcolm Tuckwell has taken a conservative approach to the number of permits to be issued. Since we have no factual history with regard to an annual permit at this venue, we have taken his and the bailiff team’s judgement and experience into account in devising the formula. Malcolm and his team will carefully monitor how this new permit structure works in order that changes are considered for future years.
Over 300 permits were issued over the ten years being a mix of existing Ten Year and NT tickets. However, we ran an exercise a while back to determine which of those permit holders had allowed their memberships to lapse, thereby forfeiting the right to their lake permit. We wrote to the lapsed members with the option of bringing their membership (and therefore their permit) up to date. Just over 220 responded.
Guest Tickets at Farriers
Valid for the remainder of this year (until 15 June 2008), we are introducing Guest Tickets for Farriers, which will be limited to four guests on the lake at any one time.
