Mick Brown is one of the country’s most knowledgeable Pike Anglers and here at the Carp Society we are offering you the chance to spend a weekend on Horseshoe in the company of the great man.

You will arrive at Horseshoe at 10.00am on Friday 16 March 2012 where you will be greeted and introduced to Mick. You will then have a look round the lake and set up and commence fishing in the swim of your choice for the weekend. Mick will be on hand to give advice so whether you are new to Pike fishing or an old hand your needs will be catered for. Friday evening consists of a 2 course meal in the lodge followed by a talk and slide show presented by Mick then its back to your swim to fish or just relax till morning. A full breakfast (in the lodge) will be served on the Saturday and the rest of the day is spent fishing. Evening meal is again provided on the Saturday evening with another talk followed by a question and answer session with Mick. Bacon rolls will be delivered to your swim on Sunday (18 March) morning, you will fish till midday on Sunday then it’s back to the lodge for farewells.

There is a huge number of double figure Pike in Horseshoe, the biggest recent capture being 28lb so there’s every chance someone may catch a 30lb fish. Anyone lucky enough to land a 30lb Pike will have their payment refunded.
