What is it?
The Carp Society Junior Carp Camp is an event held annually especially for both male and female junior carp anglers who want to expand their knowledge of carp fishing in a safe environment. The event caters for junior anglers between the ages of 12–16 and is held at the Carp Society’s flagship water 'Horseshoe Lake' in Lechlade, Gloucestershire. During the four day event the juniors will be taught by some of the best carp anglers in the countr,y in both class room and on a one instructor to two junior ratio. Horseshoe Lake has some of the best facilities in the UK with onsite catering facilities, a fully equipped tackle shop as well as toilets and showers.

What will I be taught?
During your stay at Horseshoe Lake you will be taught all aspects of carp fishing. This will include:
 Bank side safety
 Casting
 Feature finding set up
 Feature finding
 Spods and spod set up
 Rigs
 Safety for the fish while fishing
 Particle use
 Knots
 Carp care
 Photography
 Playing fish
 Baits and bait application
 PVA bags and rigs
 Ground baits and stick mixes
 Floater fishing

What do I need to bring?
You need to bring a full carp fishing kit for four days and three nights fishing (you will fish through the night as well as the day), this will include a bivvy, bedchair, sleeping bag, rods & reels, bite alarms, landing net, weigh sling, unhooking mate, spare clothing, water proofs, wash kit and a valid EA rod licence.

Price: £175

What does it cost?
The cost of the four day event is £175.00 including all fishing, instruction, three meals a day and all bait. Spaces are limited so it is sold on a first-come bases.
To secure a place you will need to pay a £25 deposit and then three payments of £50 each in February, March & April 2012.
